Milot Rashica doesn't have a motivation problem, insists Werder boss Frank Baumann

Milot Rashica's underwhelming performance against Freiburg has nothing to do with a lack of motivation, claims Werder Bremen sporting director Frank Baumann.
Werder Bremen sporting director Frank Baumann has dismissed suggestions that Milot Rashica is lacking motivation after the 24-year-old's unconvincing substitute appearance in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Freiburg.

Rashica was looking to leave Werder during the summer transfer window, but ultimately ended up staying after his proposed move to Bayer Leverkusen broke down on deadline day.

But although the 24-year-old was left disappointed by his failed transfer, he doesn't have a motivation problem, insists Baumann.

"You can interpret it that way if that's what you want to see. I don't see it that way at all. There are reasons why he didn't really get into the game [against Freiburg]. It definitely has nothing to do with listlessness. I can rule that out," Baumann told the Weser-Kurier.

Rashica netted 11 times and set up eight goals in 34 games for Werder last season.
