Angelino scored both goals in RB Leipzig's 2-0 victory over Turkish outfit Basaksehir in the Champions League on Tuesday, taking his goal tally to four in just six games this season.
"Of course, I'm pleased with my goals. The team has given me some great chances in the past few weeks, so I have to thank the boys," the Spaniard modestly said after getting on the scoresheet for the third game in a row.
A left-back by trade, the 23-year-old has been given plenty of attacking responsibility by RB Leipzig coach Julian Nagelsmann, especially since the new season began.
"He played in a bit more attacking role tonight. He made some very good runs. His first goal was sensational, I'd almost say it was world-class," Nagelsmann told reporters after Tuesday's win.
"He often finds the net in training. His left foot is extremely strong, and he can often score from difficult angles.
"Last year, he already played very well for us, and he often gets into dangerous areas from his new position," said the RB Leipzig coach.
After impressing on loan from Manchester City in the second half of the 2019/20 campaign, Angelino re-joined RB Leipzig in September.
