Bayern coach Hansi Flick confirms Leroy Sané is in his squad to face Frankfurt

Bayern München coach Hansi Flick has confirmed that Leroy Sané could be in line to make his return from injury against Eintracht Frankfurt, although he is unlikely to start.
Leroy Sané is back in Bayern München's squad for Saturday's Bundesliga encounter with Eintracht Frankfurt after recovering from a knee injury.

"Leroy Sané is in the squad, but he's not scheduled to start. I think we have to go step by step," Flick told reporters at the pre-match press conference.

"He's certainly an option because he made a very good impression in training, and we're happy about that."

Serge Gnabry, on the other hand, will miss the game after testing positive for coronavirus ahead of Bayern's Champions League clash with Atlético Madrid in mid-week.

Bild reported on Thursday that the 25-year-old tested negative on Thursday, but a 10-day isolation period is required even if further tests come out negative.

"Honestly, I don't know how many tests you need. Because of data protection, I don't want to talk about it. Gnabry is definitely out. We will have to wait and see," said Flick.
