Pléa hat-trick leads Gladbach to 6-0 thrashing of Shakhtar Donetsk

Alassane Pléa bagged a hat-trick as Borussia Mönchengladbach thumped Shakhtar Donetsk 6-0.
Borussia Mönchengladbach secured their first Champions League win of the season with a 6-0 thrashing of Shakhtar Donetsk in Kiev on Tuesday.

'Die Borussen' were already leading 4-0 at the break thanks to two goals from Pléa, an own goal from Valeriy Bondar and a Ramy Bensebaini goal.

Lars Stindl added further to the lead in the 65th minute before Alassane Pléa completed his hat-trick with 78 minutes on the clock.

Gladbach sit top of Group B, having taken five points from three games.
