Report: Leverkusen rejected interest in Moussa Diaby from Manchester United

Manchester United were reportedly looking into the possibility of signing Moussa Diaby from Leverkusen in the summer.
Bayer Leverkusen turned down interest in Moussa Diaby from Manchester United in the summer, according to Sport Bild.

'The Red Devils' were prepared to put €50 million on the table for Diaby, as per the report.

But after selling two key players in Kai Havertz and Kevin Volland, Leverkusen wanted to hold on to the 21-year old winger.

"It wasn't all about Kai Havertz in the summer. Three or four other players attracted interest from foreign clubs, and Moussa Diaby was among them," Leverkusen chief Rudi Völler confirmed.

Diaby's contact with Leverkusen expires in 2024.
