Bundesliga side Arminia Bielefeld announced that five players will not be permitted to travel to their national teams next week. Joan Simon Edmundsson (Faroe Islands), Sergio Cordova (Columbia), Cebio Soukou (Benin), Anderson Lucoqui (Angola), and Ritsu Doan (Japan) will all remain in Nordrhein-Wesfallen through the break.

Country-wide travel restrictions that recommend a five-day-quarantine for all those traveling to the Bundesrepublik are not necessarily iron-clad. Exceptions can be made. Bielefeld nevertheless opted to abide by the suggestions.

"There is no obligation to allow players to travel to high risk areas," Bielefeld Sporting CEO Samir Arabi told reporters on Thursday, "We have made this decision and informed the players."

Two Arminia German U21 internationals, Amos Pieper and Arne Maier, will be allowed to travel within the country to participate in German youth squad fixtures. Stefan Kuntz's youth team squares off against Slovenia and Wales in two matches scheduled to take place in Braunschweig.
