News emerged on Sunday that both Leipzig's Marcel Halstenberg and PSG's Thilo Kehrer would be unable accept Jogi Löw's call-ups for the coming international break. Additionally, Joshua Kimmich will undergo major surgery and is set to miss months.
At this point it remains unclear if Löw will call-up three more players to replace his initial selections. It was announced on Sunday that the in-form Ridle Baku will join the German Nationalmannschaft for at least the coming friendly against the Czech Republic on Wednesday.
The 22-year-old Mainz native has been in blistering form recently and can play either as a fullback or midfielder. The popular youngster earns his first senior national team call up after amassing over 20 appearances at youth level.
