Benfica striker Luca Waldschmidt is likely to be in the line-up as well after he was singled out for praise by Löw at Tuesday's pre-match press conference.
"Kevin Trapp will be in goal," Löw said of his plans for Wednesday's friendly and added:
"'Tony' Rüdiger and Robin Koch will be in the line-up as well. I'm also very satisfied with Luca Waldschmidt, who has been off to a good start in Lisbon. Julian Brandt will also start tomorrow."
After facing the Czech Republic on Wednesday, Löw's troops will lock horns with Ukraine (14 November) and Spain (17 November) in the UEFA Nations League.
