Timo Werner got on the scoresheet twice as Germany came from behind to take a 3-1 win over Ukraine in the UEFA Nations League on Saturday.

After a dominant start from Germany, it was the visitors who took the lead 12 minutes into the game when Roman Yaremchuk was given space to smash the ball past Manuel Neuer from within the box.

With 23 minutes played, Joachim Löw's troops found the equaliser through Leroy Sané, who cut inside before drilling the ball into the far corner.

Timo Werner gave Germany the lead 10 minutes later, nodding the ball into the empty net after being set up excellently by Leon Goretzka, who grabbed his second assist of the evening.

In a second half that saw both sides create plenty of chances, Werner made it 3-1 after 64 minutes, sending a slightly deflected shot into the net after a low cross from Matthias Ginter.

Ukraine weren't without chances in the second half and hit the post three times, but it wasn't to be for the guests.
