Markus Gisdol claims FC Köln without Jonas Hector is like Bayern without Kimmich and Lewandowski
FC Köln can't wait to have Jonas Hector back from injury.
FC Köln coach Markus Gisdol claims Jonas Hector is as important to 'the Billy Goats' as Joshua Kimmich and Robert Lewandowski are to Bayern München.
Hector has been sidelined with a neck injury for around one and a half month, and Köln are eagerly awaiting his return.
"To us, Jonas' absence is like it would be for Bayern if Kimmich and Lewandowski were out at the same time," coach Gisdol told Express.
FC Köln sporting director Horst Heldt is looking forward to Hector's return as well.
"I hope that we will soon be able to reinstate our captain, who has missed five games. He would be a great help," he said.
Hector has been limited to just three appearances this season.
