Report: Frederik Rønnow set to keep his place in goal for Schalke ahead of Fährmann
By Rune Gjerulff
Frederik Rønnow is reportedly set to keep his spot in goal for Schalke 04 despite Ralf Fährmann's return from injury.
Schalke 04 coach Manuel Baum said on Thursday that he has decided who will be in goal against Wolfsburg on Saturday, but didn't make his decision public because he wanted to speak with his goalkeepers Frederik Rønnow and Ralf Fährmann first.
On loan from Eintracht Frankfurt until the end of the season, 28-year-old Rønnow has started the last four games while Fährmann has been out with an injury.
Fährmann is now fully fit again, but Rønnow will get the nod ahead of his 32-year-old rival on Saturday after taking his chance when given the opportunity, according to WAZ.
