Bayer Leverkusen are reportedly on the verge of extending Florian Wirtz's contract.
Florian Wirtz is set to put pen to paper on a new long-term contract with Bayer Leverkusen, according to Sport Bild.
'Die Werkself' are expected to tie the highly-rated 17-year-old down to a contract until 2025 in the near future.
Wirtz, who is currently under contract until 2022, has been a revelation this season, chipping in with three goals and five assists in 11 appearances for the club.
"We're optimistic that Florian will stay longer," said Leverkusen sporting director Simon Rolfes.
The 17-year-old arrived from FC Köln in January. He made his debut for the Germany's U21's in October.
