Bayern president Herbert Hainer expects more from Leroy Sané

Leroy Sané is 'clearly capable of more,' says FC Bayern president Herbert Hainer.
Bayern München are yet to see the best of Leroy Sané, according to the club's president, Herbert Hainer.

The 24-year-old joined Bayern from Manchester City in the summer after spending the 2019/20 season on the sidelines due to a serious injury.

So far, Sané has struggled to nail down a starting berth at Allianz Arena, but Hainer is confident the German international will eventually mark his mark at the club.

"I think Leroy Sané is clearly capable of more. But you have to remember that he was injured for months. That's when a lot of things happen in your head. Then he joined FC Bayern, an absolute top team in Europe," Hainer said in an interview with Sport1 and added:

"There are 11 players on the pitch, who are playing at a top level. You have to work your way in. You can't do that overnight. It's a new environment for him, and his family had to move. We are all convinced of his potential at the club. He can do brilliant things."

Until now, Sané has scored five goals and made three assists in 13 games for Bayern.
