Dortmund boss Michael Zorc rules out signing another striker in January

Borussia Dortmund have no intentions of signing another forward in January, underlines sporting director Michael Zorc.
Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has ruled out the possibility of bringing in a new striker during the January transfer window.

With Erling Haaland out with an injury until next month, 16-year-old Youssoufa Moukoko is currently the only fit natural striker in Dortmund's squad, but Zorc sees no need to increase competition for places up front.

"We all know Erling and that he wants to be on the pitch every minute. It's also a good thing for us if he plays a lot," Zorc told reporters and added:

"Secondly, we want to build up Youssoufa instead of putting someone in front of him. We're hoping that he will get his share of playing time in the coming weeks and months, because at least in training he has already shown that he can be ready."

"And thirdly, if we're talking about a top striker, who can help BVB further alongside Erling Haaland, I have to say quite honestly: that's not financially possible in these times."
