Kimmich and Goretzka doubtful for Bayern's clash with Leverkusen

It remains unclear if Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka will be involved when Bayern München face Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday.
Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka are both doubts for Bayern München's top-of-the-table clash with Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday.

Kimmich recently made his return to team training after a knee injury while Goretzka will be hoping to overcome the muscular problems that kept him out of Bayern's 2-1 win over Wolfsburg in mid-week.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Flick gave little away when quizzed about the midfield duo's potential involvement.

"I won't put any pressure on him," Flick said about Kimmich.

"We will not take any risks. He has to make a decision with the medical department."

As for Goretzka, the Bayern coach said:

"I haven't seen him yet. We'll have training after the press conference, and then we'll see."

Bayer Leverkusen, meanwhile, will definitely be without Santiago Arias, Paulinho, Charles Aranguiz, Exequiel Palacios and Sven Bender while Lars Bender is likely to miss out as well.
