Leverkusen boss Rudi Völler confirms contract talks with Florian Wirtz
Leverkusen chief Rudi Völler is confident Florian Wirtz will sign a new deal with the club.
Bayer Leverkusen boss Rudi Völler has confirmed reports that the club are in talks with Florian Wirtz about an extension of the 17-year-old's contract, which expires in 2022.
"Nothing is in place yet, but we know what we have in each other," Völler told Sky and continued:
"Everything has come to pass that we hoped for and for him as well. We are in good talks."
Leverkusen recently extended the contracts of Moussa Diaby and Edmond Tapsoba until 2025 and 2026 respectively.
