Gladbach bosses sign new deals

Gladbach bosses Max Eberl and Stephan Schippers have signed contract extensions.
Borussia Mönchengladbach sporting director Max Eberl and chief executive Stephan Schippers have penned new contracts until 2026, the club have announced on Sunday.

"We are very pleased that we can tackle the challenges of the next few years with our two operational managers, Stephan Schippers and Max Eberl," commented Gladbach president Rolf Königs in a statement.

"We are at the end of an unusual year in which the Corona pandemic turned many things on their head, not only at Borussia Mönchengladbach. For us, 2020 was a major sporting and economic challenge and we have to assume that this will also be the case for 2021, which lies ahead of us.

"Through their work, Max Eberl and Stephan Schippers have been a significant part of the successful and sustainable journey that Borussia has taken in recent years. Both have been with Borussia for more than 20 years. Continuity is important to us and is a cornerstone for what has been created at Borussia Mönchengladbach and at Borussia-Park in recent years.”
