Marcus Thuram gets long suspension for spitting

Marcus Thuram has been handed a six-game ban for spitting on Hoffenheim's Stefan Posch.

Additionally, Thuram has been punished with a monetary fine of €40,000.
The 23-year-old was shown a straight red card for spitting at Hoffenheim defender Stefan Posch.
Borussia Mönchengladbach have since fined him a sum equivalent to one month's wage, 'which will likely be followed by an internal ban issued by the club,' a statement on Sunday read.
