Union chief signs new contract
Oliver Ruhnert has penned a new deal with Union Berlin.
Union Berlin director of football Oliver Ruhnert has signed a contract extension with the German capital club.
The Bundesliga side confirmed the contract extension in a statement on Saturday, but didn't reveal the exact length of the deal.
"The work with Oliver Ruhnert as Director of Professional Football has proven to be extremely successful for 1. FC Union Berlin," said Union Berlin president Dirk Zingler.
"He has succeeded, together with head coach Urs Fischer, in achieving very ambitious sporting goals based on our economic realities. I'm all the more pleased that we are continuing on this path and working in the proven way."
