Previously reported salary considerations form the cornerstone of recent efforts by Tottenham Hotspur to ply Austrian midfielder Marcel Sabitzer away from RB Leipzig. A new report appearing in one of the UK's papers of records suggest that the North Londoners are now preparing to offer a massive transfer fee as well.

An article in the Daily Mail, corroborated by sources at Germany's SportBild, indicate that Jose Mourinho is prepared to put nearly €50 million on the table in pursuit of a player he believes to be a perfect fit for his club. Nils Richart of German website Ligainsider.de also mentions the figure in a report.

The 26-year-old RB captain's market worth has been steadily climbing over the years as he's racked up a series of wonder-goals from distance. The manner in which he leads his team on the pitch also appears uniquely effective.

Transfermarkt.de's peak worth for Sabitzer came last December with a €40 million listing. Following some early season injuries and a slight production drop-off, he's dropped to €32 in the latest appraisals.
