Hansi Flick has admitted that David Alaba is leaning towards a move away from the club this summer.
Bayern München coach Hansi Flick concedes David Alaba is likely to leave the club at the end of the season, at which point the 28-year-old is out of contract.
"It's always possible that a player leaves when his contract expires. So far I have not heard from him. Hope dies last. He's focused and did well against Freiburg," Flick told reporters at a press conference on Tuesday.
"Currently I can see that things are going in the direction of a possible move," he added.
Should Alaba be on the move, Flick wants to see a suitable replacement arrive at Allianz Arena.
"If a player of his quality leaves, the club need to bring in a player of similar quality to replace him," said the Bayern coach.
Real Madrid are understood to be leading the race for Alaba's signature, but the likes of Barcelona, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly interested as well.
