Nico Elvedi confirms contract talks with Gladbach
Gladbach centre-back Nico Elvedi says he could imagine staying at Borussia-Park despite being linked with big clubs from abroad.
Nico Elvedi has confirmed that his agent is in talks with Borussia Mönchengladbach over a potential new deal.
The highly-rated centre-back, who is currently under contract with 'Die Fohlen' until 2022, told Swiss newspaper Blick:
"Signing a contract extension with Gladbach is absolutely not out of the question. My agent and the club are holding talks.
"I won't leave just to get a change of air. It would have to be a well-considered step forward.
I know what I have in Gladbach. I like it here very much, we're in the knockout phase of the Champions League and part of the race for the title. The club, the fans and the teammates are great."
Elvedi has previously been linked with a number of Premier League clubs.
