Lukas Hradecky on Leverkusen's DFB-Pokal exit to Essen: 'That can't happen to us'

Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky and head coach Peter Bosz voiced their disappointment after their sensational DFB-Pokal loss to Regionalliga side Rot-Weiss Essen on Tuesday.

"The disappointment is huge. We had enough chances," Hradecky told reporters after the match, which saw 'Die Werkself' squander a 1-0 lead to lose 2-1.
"We had it in our own hands after going up 1-0 and should have controlled the game better. Then we conceded two goals. That can't happen to us," added the goalkeeper.
Leverkusen coach Peter Bosz was frustrated to see his team crash out of the cup despite dominating possession and creating the majority of the chances.
"The pitch, the rain, opponents - it doesn't matter. We should have won this game here today," underlined Bosz.
