'No deadline' for Marco Rose amid Dortmund links, insists Gladbach boss Max Eberl

Gladbach boss Max Eberl says he hasn't set Marco Rose a deadline to decide whether he wants to stay or leave for Borussia Dortmund.
Although Marco Rose's contract as Gladbach coach still runs until 2022, the 44-year-old has been heavily linked with Borussia Dortmund since Lucien Favre's dismissal at Signal Iduna Park.

At this point, however, Rose will not be put under pressure to make a decision on his future, according to Gladbach sporting director Max Eberl.

"Of course we want to have a decision as soon as possible, because it's important for our planning. But at the moment, no one here is being put under pressure to make a decision before a certain date. There is no deadline as of today," Eberl told Sky after Saturday's 1-2 defeat to FC Köln.

"At the moment, the goal is to work with Marco beyond the summer, and in the best case to extend his contract."

Asked about the likelihood of Rose staying, Eberl told ZDF later on Saturday that he believes there is a "98 percent" chance that the 44-year-old will remain at Borussia-Park.

In December, Eberl answered the same question with "99 percent".
