Peter Bosz 'can understand it' if Florian Wirtz is on the radar of Germany coach Joachim Löw

Germany coach Joachim Löw will be able to take a close look at Florian Wirtz, among others, when he visits BayArena for Saturday's Bundesliga clash between Bayer Leverkusen and Mainz.
Bayer Leverkusen coach Peter Bosz says it wouldn't come as a surprise to him if Florian Wirtz has come on the radar of Germany coach Joachim Löw.

Löw will be attending Bayer Leverkusen's Bundesliga clash with Mainz at BayArena on Saturday and might keep a close eye on Wirtz, who has emerged as a key player for Leverkusen at the age of just 17.

"Löw will probably take a look at several players. I can surely understand it if he's coming to see Florian Wirtz," said Bosz ahead of the game.

The Dutchman went on to reveal that he had spoken to Löw on the phone, "but not specifically about Florian."

Wirtz, who made his debut for Germany's U21s in October 2020, has racked up seven goals and six assists in 24 games for Leverkusen this season.
