Report: VfB Stuttgart coach Pellegrino Matarazzo set to sign new contract
Bild claims VfB Stuttgart are poised to extend the contract of their head coach, Pellegrino Matarazzo, in the immediate future.
VfB Stuttgart coach Pellegrino Matarazzo is set to sign a contract extension, according to Sport Bild.
Matarazzo's current deal, which runs out in 2022, will be extended until 2024 in the next few days, as per the German publication, who claims the 43-year-old's new contract will include a release clause.
Currently sitting 10th in the Bundesliga table, Stuttgart have impressed in their first season since their promotion to Germany's top flight.
Matarazzo was appointed Stuttgart coach in December 2019 and last had his contract extended in May 2020.
