Marco Rose: '100% of my energy is in my work here'

Marco Rose insists he will remain 100% focused on his job at Gladbach despite his move to Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season.
On Monday, it was announced that Marco Rose will be leaving his position as Borussia Mönchengladbach coach to join Borussia Dortmund this summer.

In spite of his impending move to Dortmund, Rose insists he will remain 100 percent focused on his work at Gladbach until the end of the season.

"Despite my move in the summer, 100% of my energy is in my work here," Rose told reporters on Wednesday.

"There had been pressure growing, so I had to make a gut decision and the challenge in Dortmund is what appeals to me."

Rose also insisted that he will not be taking any Gladbach players with him to Dortmund.

The former RB Salzburg coach will take advantage of a €5 million release clause that will be activated by Dortmund.

"We have held a lot of open talks over the last weeks and days," said Gladbach sporting director Max Eberl.

"Marco has made a decision that is completely in line with his contract. I take responsibility that Marco was able to make this decision.

"Of course I'm disappointed with Marco's decision, but I'm 100% convinced that he will give his all to have success with this club until his last day. Therefore, there have been no considerations to remove Marco before then."
