Eintracht Frankfurt confirm departure of sporting director Bruno Hübner

Eintracht Frankfurt will be parting ways with sporting director Bruno Hüber at the end of the season.
Bruno Hübner will be leaving his position as Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director at the end of the season.

In a official statement on the club's website, Eintracht have announced the impending departure of Hübner, who has been at the club since 2011.

"When I came to Eintracht from Duisburg in 2011, I was really looking forward to this task. As a Hessian living in a total Eintracht environment, that's something special. The past few years have been marked by successful cooperation and strong development of Eintracht Frankfurt. It makes me proud to have been able to be a part of this. Above all, I will always remember the fantastic fans and the great atmosphere. At every stage, we were able to rely on them," said Hübner, who last extended his contract in 2018.

"Back then, I spoke with [Eintracht board member] Fredi Bobic about the future and we had deliberately agreed on this contract term. At the age of 60, I wanted to take a bit of a break. It certainly makes sense for the club to make a change in this position after such a long time. In recent months, it has become increasingly clear that this is the best and right solution for both sides," he added.
