Sources at Sky's German outfit report that the FCB's starting right-back has now tested positive for COVID-19 and will, accordingly, miss out on at least Bayern's next two fixtures. Whether the infection had anything to do with Thomas Müller's case is unclear.
Pavard's sidelining comes after back-up Bouna Sarr turned in yet another poor performance in the round 21 fixture against Bielefeld. Many German football pundits found the autumn transfer directly culpable for two of Arminia's three goals.
FCB Trainer Hans Dieter Flick has used Niklas Süle at the right-back position several times this season. Additionally, Joshua Kimmich can return to the position too.
