Premier League giants keen on Borussia Mönchengladbach ace Jonas Hofmann

Former Dortmund tactician Thomas Tuchel coached Hofmann during his days at the helm at the Signal Iduna Park and has since been an admirer of the midfielder’s versatility and skill on the ball.
Reports from Germany have emerged of newly-appointed Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel keeping close tabs on Borussia Mönchengladbach midfield virtuoso Jonas Hofmann.

The 28-year-old has risen to new heights since moving to Borussia Monchengladbach, having already appeared 141 times for the club, scoring 20 goals and registering 30 assists in process. Hofmann has scored 6 goals and made 10 assists in 21 appearances for the Mönchengladbach club this season.

He also made his debut for the German national team under Joachim Low last year.
Hofmann possesses an almost unrivalled ability to cover any role in the midfield. He can operate as a holding midfielder and dictate play from the center, run along the wings as a pure winger or even play behind the main striker as a No.10. His versatility and flexibility makes him a natural asset for any team looking to acquire his services.

With the likes of Billy Gilmour, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Kai Havertz, Pulisic, Ziyech among several other important players. It remains to be seen whether a move will materialize as there has been no active movements from both the parties.

Hofmann’s form of late has pushed Borussia as a real contender for a top four finish, although they sit in sixth position with 33 points, level with Borussia Dortmund. His market value stands around the €20m mark, making him a bargain transfer, according to transfermarkt
