André Silva kept out of team training, start vs. Bayern unlikely

Two local newspapers in Germany's commercial capital confirm that Eintracht Frankfurt lead-striker André Silva participated in only light individual training on Friday.

One day before the weekend's most highly anticipated showdown, it appears as if the SGE may indeed have to do without it's highest scorer against Bayern on Saturday. The back issues that have kept Portuguese lead striker André Silva out of training throughout the week have evidently not relented.

The Frankfurter Rundschau and Frankfurter Neue Presse both report that the 25-year-old could only manage an individualized training course during Friday's session. Such a light workout very likely means that the scorer of 18 league goals will not be in coach Adi Hütter's starting XI against the German giants tomorrow.

Ordinarily, the loss of such a crucial player would signal a sure loss against the Bundesliga's top team. The potential that Luka Jovic may get the start, alongside red-hot fellow Serbian Filip Kostic on the left, however, merely serves to make the match all the more intriguing.
