Nico Elvedi has revealed his contract talks with Borussia Mönchengladbach have become more concrete in recent weeks.
"Our talks have become a bit more intensive," said Elvedi, whose current deal expires in 2022, in an interview with Bild.
"There are still a few contract details to be discussed. That doesn't happen from one day to the next.
"Of course, after five and a half years, you think about whether you want to do something else. But I can imagine extending my contract here, because I know what I have in Gladbach: great fans and a strong team. We're like a family."
Should Elvedi ultimately choose to turn down a contract extension, Gladbach are likely to cash in on him in the summer. The centre-back has previously been linked with a host of Premier League clubs.
