RB Leipzig provide injury update on Willi Orban

Willi Orban underwent surgery on Thursday morning after fracturing a metacarpal bone.
RB Leipzig have issued an update on the extent of the injury suffered by Willi Orban in Wednesday's 2-0 win over Wolfsburg in the DFB-Pokal.

The experienced centre-back sustained a fractured a metacarpal bone, for which he underwent surgery this morning.

Fortunately for Leipzig, Orban is only expected to be out for a few days as he can play with protective equipment.

While he's likely to sit out of Saturday's Bundesliga game against Freiburg, he might be able to feature against Liverpool in the Champions League on Wednesday.
