Julian Nagelsmann gives injury update on Angelino ahead of RB Leipzig's clash with Freiburg

Angelino has missed RB Leipzig's last two games and remains a doubt for their trip to Freiburg this weekend.
RB Leipzig are set to make a late decision on Angelino's fitness for Saturday's Bundesliga game against Freiburg.

The Spanish left-back has missed his side's last two games due to a muscular problem, and Leipzig will now decide whether they want to risk him ahead of their Champions League last-16 second leg tie against Liverpool on Wednesday.

"We'll test him today and see whether he is pain-free and how well he moves," RB Leipzig coach Julian Nagelsmann told reporters ahead of the game.

"There is always a risk with muscular issues. But he is an important player. We will have to consider how much risk we can take," he added.

In addition to the long-term injured Konrad Laimer and Dominik Szoboszlai, RB Leipzig will be without Marcel Halstenberg, Willi Orban as well as club captain Marcel Sabitzer, who is both suspended and injured.

On the positive side for Leipzig, the latter three are all expected to return to training ahead of Die Roten Bullen's encounter with Liverpool, revealed Nagelsmann.
