Nico Elvedi and Tobias Sippel have signed contract extensions with Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Elvedi has put pen to paper on a deal until 2024 while Sippel's new contract runs until 2023.

"We're delighted to have secured two important contract extensions with Nico Elvedi and
Tobias Sippel," said Gladbach sporting director Max Eberl.

"Nico has continuously developed as a player since joining us from Zurich in 2015. He is so often underrated - I consider him one of the best centre-backs in the Bundesliga.

"'Tobi' is reliability personified and for us a very important addition to our first-choice goalkeeper, Yann Sommer. He has once again shown what we have in him this season with his appearances in the DFB-Pokal."
