Fantasy Bundesliga: Matchday 26 Review

With the conclusion of Matchday 26, we will be taking a closer look at selected performances and trends in detail as well as what to look out for before the next matchday in this recap.
Haaland vs Silva

This was a good matchup for owners who had either of the two after the two players scored a respectable 16 and 19 respectively. After the international break, a big game to look out for is none other than Dortmund vs Frankfurt, a key matchup which might decide who gets to have Champions League football next season. Amongst the picks, talisman Erling Haaland, (20.8M, 16) and Andre Silva, (20.2M, 19) go head to head.

Haaland’s form (16, 11, 11 , 3, 16) seems to be more dependent on whether he scores at least 2 in a game, as he doesn’t tend to get other bonus points such as passes to shots or won duels. On the other hand, Silva’s form in his past 5 games played is (15, 10, 7, 3, 19). It is notable that Dortmund are unlikely to have either of their first choice full-backs ready to play, and key player Jadon Sancho is also still out.

While it is better to only have one of the two for the upcoming match-up, it might be viable to have both as well considering both teams are likely to go all out to score goals.

Leipzig ready to challenge for the title

Leipzig won comfortably with a 3-0 scoreline against Arminia Bielefeld in last Friday’s game, and the usual suspects of Dani Olmo, MID (18.4M, 15) and Christopher Nkunku, MID (17.3M, 14) had good attacking returns once again. The last time Leipzig and Bayern went head to head they played to an exciting 3-3 game and it isn’t unlikely that something similar happens next matchday, considering the attacking form of both teams.

In the Bayern camp, players such as Thomas Muller, FOR (22.6M, 13), Leroy Sane, MID (19.5M, 13) and Leon Goretzka, MID (16.5M, 10) appears to be good picks.

Upturn for Gladbach and Hertha BSC?

After a poor series of games, Gladbach could finally start to improve their game after a 3-0 win over Schalke. Stefan Lainer, DEF (10.6M, 17) rewarded owners after scoring and having a clean sheet in the game. Jonas Hoffman, MID (13.9M, 12) also seems like an attractive pick, with 4 points from passes to shots that is due to his set piece duties.

Hertha BSC won 3-0 against a struggling Bayer Leverkusen side, with their returning talisman Matheus Cunha, FOR (15.6M, 15) providing the inspiration with a goal, and could be one to consider for the upcoming weeks.

Shocks of the matchday:

Deyovaisio Zeefuik, DEF (7.5M, 19) scored and had a good game, and it remains to see if he can continue to score big.

Florian Muller, GK (5M, 18) had an insane 12 save and clean sheet game and could be a solid pick with there being unlimited transfers now.
