Wolf and Herrmann just a temporary solution for Leverkusen

Hannes Wolf and Peter Herrmann have put their jobs at the German Football Association (DFB) on hold to help out Bayer Leverkusen temporarily.
Earlier today, Bayer Leverkusen parted company with Peter Bosz as head coach, appointing Germany U18 coach Hannes Wolf as his replacement until the end of the season, with Germany U19 assistant coach Peter Herrmann joining as his assistant.

In a statement, The German Football Association (DFB) has confirmed that the duo will be returning to their respective posts at the end of the season.

"Rudi Völler called me, and of course the DFB is happy to accommodate Bayer in this situation, which is not easy for them," said Germany general manager Oliver Bierhoff.

"From my point of view, everyone involved benefits from this situation," stated Germany youth chief Meikel Schönweitz.

"With Hannes Wolf and Peter Hermann, Leverkusen bring in two absolute professionals in a personnel emergency.

"Hannes Wolf, who we've come to value greatly in his short time at the DFB, gets the chance to gain further experience at the highest level over the next few months, which will benefit the DFB."
