Bundesliga duo join Inter in race to sign Romanian wonderkid

Several top European teams are closely monitoring the progress of the FCSB forward.
Romanian U21 international Olimpiu Morutan has been the transfer talk of some of Europe’s top teams after making strides in the recent 2021 UEFA European Under-21 Championship for his performances against Germany and Netherlands.

According to FussballTransfers and various other sources, Bayer Leverkusen are said to be joined by TSG 1899 Hoffenheim in the race for the 21-year-old attacking midfielder’s signature.

Along with the two Bundesliga clubs, several European giants like Inter, Porto and Galatasaray are also said to be closely monitoring the Romanian’s situation.

The playmaker possesses a strong left foot with remarkable pace and dribbling skills that allows him to operate on the wings too.

His current contract in Bucharest lasts until 2023, before which Steaua will look to cash in – rather than letting him go as a free agent.

He has played 26 matches this season for Steaua Bucharest, scoring 6 goals and assisting 12 in the process.

He has achieved almost 100 caps for the Romanian giants since appearing on the senior stage two years ago.
