Leon Goretzka and Niklas Süle had to come off for Bayern München during the first half of their 2-3 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the first Champions League quarter-final tie between the two teams.

Speaking at the post-match press conference, Bayern coach Hansi Flick revealed that the two German internationals were forced off with muscle problems.

"Both Leon and Niklas have muscular injuries. They will undergo tests that will show how long they will be out for," said Flick.

"We assume that they will not be part of the squad for this weekend. As for next week, we will have to see."

Assessing his side's performance tonight, Flick said:

"Paris played very efficiently. We dictated the game, we had 31 shots, and I have to praise my team for their mentality and the way they played football. We lacked efficiency in front of goal, but we still have one game left in Paris, and we're going to give our all to get a positive result for us to change things around. We want to reach the semi-finals, and the result today doesn't change that."

Bayern face Union Berlin in the Bundesliga on Saturday before locking horns with PSG in the return leg on Tuesday.
