Hertha BSC's Santiago Ascacibar has been cleared of misconduct by the German Football Association's control committee (DFB).
The DFB opened an investigation against Ascacibar after on-pitch broadcast microphones caught the Argentine midfielder verbally abusing Union Berlin's Nico Schlotterbeck during last week's Berlin derby.
With the approval of the DFB sports court, the control committee has now dropped the proceedings against Ascacibar, stating that he didn't violate any disciplinary rules.
Accordingly, the 24-year-old has been cleared to play against Gladbach on Saturday.
