Bayern injury updates: Süle potentially out for weeks, Goretzka doubtful for Champions League

Bayern trainer Hans Dieter Flick essentially ruled out both Niklas Süle and Leon Goretzka for the weekend fixture after it was revealed both players incurred injury during Wednesday's UCL clash with PSG.

New details about the length of downtime both players face now emerge following some sleuthing from Germany's main sporting tabloid.
Hansi Flick immediately made clear that he was not prepared to chance it with either Niklas Süle or Leon Goretzka late Wednesday evening. On the day after the German giants' sensational defeat, Germany's Bild Zeitung published its own assessment on the long-range prospects of the players.

National team defender Süle reportedly suffered a muscle fiber tear in his thigh during Wednesday's contest. The tabloid uses this diagnosis to prognosticate a spell of 2-3 weeks on the sidelines.

Midfield linchpin Goretzka, by contrast, appears to have gotten off easy with a simple thigh strain. The patience required of such an injury does unfortunately leave him a doubt for the away leg against PSG on Tuesday.
