Joshua Kimmich confident Bayern will knock out PSG: 'We're the better team!'

Bayern München midfielder Joshua Kimmich is confident of going through against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League despite losing 2-3 in the first leg.
Joshua Kimmich has issued a rally cry to his Bayern München teammates ahead of the club's Champions League quarter-final return leg against Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday.

The Bavarians are trailing 2-3 from the first leg in Munich, but Kimmich is confident of overturning the deficit in Paris.

"Because we're the better team, I believe that we will progress. We were the better team in the first leg but unfortunately the result didn't correspond to the performance. Nevertheless, I’m confident that we can still turn it around in the second leg," Kimmich said in an interview posted on FC Bayern's website and added:

"A lot will come down to mentality, but also efficiency. We already showed a good mentality in the first game but we weren’t efficient enough. This time we need to do both!

"Every player must become a leader in this game; everyone must show their character on the day and carry total belief in themselves. And then we have to strike when the chance is there!"
