Mavropanos confident of Stuttgart's interest in retaining his services

The 23-year-old defender has raked in some impressive performances for the German club.
Arsenal loanee Konstantinos Mavropanos has partly resurrected his career in Baden-Württemberg for VfB Stuttgart. The 23-year-old center back spent his last season in 2.Bundesliga with Nuremberg before moving south west to the Mercedes-Benz Arena.

In an exclusive interview by Sport BILD, the Greek international spoke about his future and stated he is yet to make a decision, which will arise only after his position with Arsenal is clear.

"I can't say anything about my future, at the time. Things in football, however, tend to go on a fast change. I've got two more months in Stuttgart yet, before I go, and I want the team to achieve the highest ranking position we can,” he said.

He is confident of Stuttgart wanting to retain him, speaking of which he said: “I know the club are going to keep their doors open for me, but I can make a decision, any decision, only once I made my position clear with Arsenal".

He is on a contract with the London club until the end of the current Premier League season, after which Stuttgart may well exercise their option to buy him permanently given his bright performances for the club.
