German national team coach Joachim Löw says he plans to rotate at the full-back positions in the future.
For the two past games against France and Peru, Löw moved the regular right-back Joshua Kimmich to the defensive midfield and gave Borussia Mönchengladbach's Matthias Ginter the chance on the right-hand side.
Meanwhile, Antonio Rüdiger played at left-back against France while Hoffenheim's Nico Schulz featured at the position in yesterday's match against Peru.
Going forward, Löw says he plans to rotate at the full-back positions, depending on who Germany will face. He also mentions FC Köln's Jonas Hector, RB Leipzig's Marcel Halstenberg and Augsburg's Philipp Max as options.
"In regard to the full-back position, you have to vary a bit. It depends on the opponent. It's between Matthias Ginter, Nico Schulz, Jonas Hector, Marcel Halstenberg and maybe also Philipp Max from Augsburg who had a good last year," Löw told Sport1.
Here's how we rated the German performances in last night's 2-1 win over Peru.
