Sabitzer and Poulsen doubtful for RB Leipzig's clash with Stuttgart

Marcel Sabitzer and Yussuf Poulsen are still struggling with injury problems ahead of RB Leipzig's clash with Stuttgart.
RB Leipzig coach Julian Nagelsmann has revealed that Marcel Sabitzer and Yussuf Poulsen are doubts for his side's Bundesliga encounter with VfB Stuttgart on Sunday.

Sabitzer and Poulsen missed Leipzig's 2-1 defeat to Köln in mid-week, and Nagelsmann is far from sure that the duo will be fit in time for Sunday.

"[Sabitzer] trained for a relatively long time yesterday and felt his calf tighten a bit towards the end. He still has some problems.

"We have to weigh the risk. Of course, we would like to have him there since he's our captain and a very good player," added Nagelsmann, who's already looking ahead to his side's DFB-Pokal semi-final against Werder Bremen next Friday.

"We'll have a shortened week from Sunday to Friday as far as regeneration is concerned. Accordingly, we will have to consider whether playing on Sunday makes sense for him.

"'Yussi' [Poulsen] still has problems. It's not certain if he can play. It doesn't look like he can. The probability is not so high. He just returned to training, and then we'll have to wait and see what happens today and tomorrow. But I assume he will not be available before the cup semi-final," said the RB Leipzig coach.
