The 40-year-old will leave his position as RB Leipzig sporting director at the end of the season to join Frankfurt on a four-year deal.
"With Markus Krösche, we are getting an absolute expert in this so important position. He has worked successfully at all his clubs, and we are sure that with him we will be able to continue the positive development of Eintracht Frankfurt," said chairman of the supervisory board Philip Holzer.
Krösche, who served as managing director for sport at SC Paderborn before joining RB Leipzig in 2019, emphasized:
"I have closely followed the development of Eintracht Frankfurt over the past few years. The club has developed wonderfully and is a great address in German football, partly because of the emotionality here.
"I was convinced by the intensive discussions with the chairman of the supervisory board, Philip Holzer, and those responsible at Eintracht, and I am very happy to be part of the Eintracht family as of June.
"From then on, my full focus will be on Eintracht. I want to help ensure that the current success story of this old club can continue to be written in the future."
