Peter Stöger confirms talks with FC Köln
Former Köln coach Peter Stöger has confirmed he is in talks with 'The Billy Goats' about a return.
Peter Stöger has confirmed he has held talks with FC Köln about potentially taking over as coach ahead of the 2021/22 season.
The current Austria Wien boss is among the candidates to succeed interim coach Friedhelm Funkel at the end of the season.
"It was a very pleasant conversation," Stöger told Bild.
"We discussed basic things. Everything that concerns the sport, the squad, the coaching team and the objective as well."
Stöger already served as Köln coach from 2013 to 2017.
