Bayern München are determined to extend Leon Goretzka's contract before the European Championship kicks off in about a month, according to Sport Bild.

The 26-year-old German international's current contract with the German champions expires in 2022.

Goretzka revealed last month that he could imagine signing a contract extension with Bayern.

The midfielder has established himself as a key player at Allianz Arena following his move from Schalke 04 in 2018.

In total, he has made 111 appearances in a Bayern shirt, racking up 25 goals and 27 assists.
