Emil Forsberg to sign a new deal or leave RB Leipzig

Emil Forsberg either wants to sign a new deal or leave RB Leipzig.
RB Leipzig midfielder Emil Forsberg has reiterated that he doesn't want to go into his final contract year.

Back in March, Forsberg's agent, Hasan Cetinkaya, put pressure on RB Leipig to decide whether they want to keep the 29-year-old, who is out of contract in 2022.

And speaking in an inteview with MDR, the Swedish international has now made it clear once again that he will not enter his final contract year.

"I've said very clearly that I don't want to do that because I think that would be a big risk," said Forsberg.

Asked about a potential change of air, Forsberg responded with a smile:

"The air in Leipzig is really good, and I'm now concentrating on the last games of the season because we want to win a title. I'll leave the rest to my agent.

"I don't know yet what will happen, but I hope we find a solution."
