Dortmund hope to have Haaland back on Tuesday
Ahead of Thursday's DFB-Pokal final against RB Leipzig, an immediate re-match of this weekend's round 32 clash, Dortmund are once again hopeful to have lead striker Erling Haaland back on the training pitch in time to compete.
Erling Haaland once again did not take part in Dortmund's training session on Sunday. Whilst only the reserves were in action after Saturday's victory, the injured center-forward did not appear for even light individual updates.
Trainer Edin Terzic confirmed that the 20-year-old continued to receive treatment for his contusion at the complex. Speaking to the assembled media, Terzic himself expressed wonder at why the rehab process was taking so long.
"It's also surprising for us," he answered in response to a direct question, "He took an unfortunate blow in a silly place. A lot of fluid formed there."
"It's getting smaller and smaller," Terzic said of the apparent swelling, "and we hope he'll be back in early or midweek in time for Thursday."
The BVB will have not partake in training on Monday. Two sessions are scheduled on Tuesday and Wednesday before the final of the domestic cup.
